Patrick Savage, MA, LPC, DAPA

Patrick Savage graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1993 with a Major in Psychology. After working at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital and Herrin House, a small private psychiatric facility where he later sat on the advisory board, he attended and graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Master of Arts program in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. He did practicum at SMU’s Counseling and Testing Center and at Galaxy Counseling Center. He continued in internship at Galaxy and began his private practice at Park Cities Counseling & Wellness Center. While working in private practice, Patrick started his PhD program in Psychology at SMU and has completed all coursework but has not completed his dissertation. Patrick is currently a psychotherapist, director, and LPC supervisor at Park Cities Counseling & Wellness Center. Patrick is also on the board of directors of the Mental Health Association of Dallas. He has directed his practice from the beginning to focus on trauma related experiences and consequently divorce work. He works with all members of divorcing families with special emphasis on children. Patrick has consulted and testified in various civil and criminal courts as requested by judges, attorneys, and clients. He has also been volunteering for the American Red Cross Mental Health Cadre as team captain. Patrick first began his Collaborative Law training in 2000 and has worked on ten collaborative cases in the last year and was trained as a family law mediator in 1996. He is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas, the American Counseling Association, the Texas Counseling Association, the American Psychotherapy Association, the American College of Forensic Examiners, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
